Gemma McLaughlin studied Costume Interpretation at Wimbledon College of Art where she specialised in historical reproductions of costumes, dancewear and theatrical costumes. She now lives and works in Surrey and London offering bespoke bridal wear for the bride and her bridesmaids. Accessories for the whole bridal party can be made alongside the bridal dress; such as fascinators, boleros and sashes.

A long running interest in corsetry and beading has now influenced a passion for designing and creating beautiful bridal wear. She has an extensive collection of patterns and inspirational books to make your dream dress ideas come true, any idea will be considered and worked upon with Gemma.

Gemma can work from a design sketch or from original garments, once settled on a final drawing, all designs are fully researched and come inclusive of fabric swatches, suggestions and a full breakdown of costing. Please be aware during summer months Gemma is particularly busy and would never want to rush a design so she will require approximately six months plus to create a wedding dress and one month to create bridesmaid dresses.

Gemma also offers an alterations service for ready made dresses, for these it is advisable to have a fitting as close to the wedding day as possible to ensure the best fit.

For more details you can contact Gemma through the form on the contact page.

Prices can be discussed on the contact page but please note that a non-refundable deposit will be taken on confirmation of your order to cover initial fabric costs and then the balance will be due in two parts over the course of making your dress.
